Mosaic is one of the oldest and most enduring art forms, dating back as far as the 3rd century in Mesopotamia when mosaics were constructed out of colored pebbles. Today mosaic artists utilize perspective and gradients using cut ceramic tiles or marble, and glass.
You can become your own modern mosaic artist on Wednesday, April 6! Put your artwork together piece-by-piece with our easy-to-follow directions from GlassRoots teaching artists.
The final mosaic size is 5"x7".
Purchase kits by March 30 to receive your supplies in time for the workshop.
Each kit includes:
· Safety glasses
· Glass cutting tool
· Glass shards (WARNING SHARP OBJECTS – HANDLE WITH CARE)
· Paper towel
· Substrate - 5”x7” wood board
· Stir stick
· Mixing cup
· Masking tape
